At long, long last, it’s finished! For months now I’ve been working on No Way Out, a text adventure of somewhat ambitious proportions. It started as a fun little experiment, a Twine game about escaping from a prison, an impossible prison, floating in orbit above the planet. I started to populate it with disasters and traps and eccentric personalities, and before I knew it, it had expanded far beyond the original scope. It grew so big, in fact, I needed to put it aside, and give myself some space, to get some perspective on the whole project.
A few months ago, I came back to it, and managed to push through to the end. It’s clocked in at something like 40,000 words, with nine endings, nearly thirty ways to fail, and every one of them entertaining. It’s an interesting world and a fun, grimly witty experience, and best of all, it’s free!
Well, it’s mostly free. Anyone who wants to play it is more than welcome to, because that’s important to me. Other things that are important to me include being able to afford food, or pay rent, not to mention pay for my web hosting. So whilst I’m not going to charge you anything, I am going to ask that if you can, if you can spare any money at all, I would really appreciate your donations. I spend a lot of time creating stuff that I think is interesting and cool, as well as hopefully providing support and information for people like myself, or people living with people like myself, and whilst I’m not gonna stop any time soon, it will be much easier with your support.
So for now, play No Way Out, enjoy it, let me know how you feel about it! Tell your friends, share it around, but mostly have a good time. And if you feel like it, or anything else I’ve done, has enriched your life in any way, remember it’s always very easy to support me.
I’ll just leave this here…
Oh, and here is where you can play it!
