I’ve been on a bit of a hiatus the past two weeks, but I haven’t been entirely unproductive. Whilst I’ve been calibrating sensitive systems and upgrading core processes, I managed to dig something up from my databanks for you.
I wrote this short story a while ago, as part of a scheme to make a book of short stories freely available, to entice people into buying my novels. Then I decided that was a terrible idea, for a variety of reasons. Chief among them was that I’m not really very good at short stories. You wouldn’t want a whole book of them, trust me. But I like to think this one is pretty interesting, and people have been bugging me for something to read, so… here you go.
It’s called Amnesia, and it’s part of a set called Omega, which I’ll be uploading periodically. The whole set will be free, don’t worry. It’s set in the sci-fi universe of No Longer Human, it’s very short, and doesn’t really follow any sort of structure.
But it’s free!
When I woke up tonight I said I’m
Gonna make somebody love me
I’m gonna make somebody love me
And now I know
Now I know
Now I know
I know that it’s you!
You’re so lucky!
